Preparation Strategy to Complete CLAT Syllabus on Time
To qualify for CLAT 2022, it is important that you prepare as per the syllabus for the exam. It will save your time so that you work on solving mock tests. BYJU’S Exam Prep is a great resource when it comes to solving the mock test.
Know the topics to be covered.
An obvious step before you start preparing. Here is what you need to do:
- Check the CLAT website to know the latest syllabus.
- Check out the sample papers provided by CLAT. Check if there are any changes in the pattern, like CLAT 2020.
- Go through the past year’s papers to get an idea of maximum weightage topics.
- Note down the entire syllabus, section-wise, in your diary, so it stays with you always.
Select the books to study from.
Another crucial step. Don’t fall into the trap of buying loads of books. It will only confuse you. Instead:

- Note down, for each section; the books are going to follow. Stick to it till the end.

- How many hours you can devote to exam preparations every day.

- When you plan to begin revising your topics.
- Create a year-wise plan. Allot broad topics to each month (roughly).

You can call this step zooming into your calendar. Do the following:
- For every month’s broad topic, note down all the subtopics.
- Then, go week-wise, allotting subtopics to each day.
- In each week, pick a day when you will take mocks.
- Decide which topics you need to make notes for.
Zoom in on each week.
For each week, you must create a daily to-do list. Do the following:
- For each day, divide the time.
- Customise the day or topics according to the circumstances.
- Assess yourself. Analyse your progress each week.
